FREQUENT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
|Does your products fit active and non-active factory (OEM) shock absorbers (dampers)?||Yes, all our products fits active and non-active factory (OEM) shock absorbers (dampers) for the target make and model range.|
|I own an Audi MK2 TT (FWD) and may upgrade to an Audi MK2 TT-S or TT-RS. Will I need a different product when I upgrade?||No, all our Fully Adjustable Kits will fit all the models in the target range and so you get to keep the kit for the next car. In this case the product will fit the Audi MK2 TT-S or TT-RS.|
|Can I fit the product myself?||No, we advice that you get a qualified workshop to fit the product as they will be qualified to ensure the kit is installed safely and removes the risk of injury to you and or others who may be assisting you.|
|How long does fitting take?||Assuming removal of the existing OEM parts is without any issues then installing our product typically takes 2-hours on the front axle and 1-hour on the rear axle. Allow 1-hour for setup and test.
So 4-hours in total is a typical estimated time for a single qualified workshop engineer.
|Can I just fit the rear adjustable kit now and the front adjustable later when I purchase a fully adjustable kit?||We do not advice that as an option. The main reason being the factory front springs may be stiffer than our replacement front kit and on tests we found, whilst it performed well at lower speeds below 30MPH, at higher speeds the front axle tended to get lighter being stiffer as noted.
From a safety point of view, we will advice fitting both at the same time especially if you would likely drive above 30MPH.
|I am not interested in lowering my car too much so can I keep the height close to the factory height?||Indeed you can with our street fully adjustable kits - these are MSS Streets and MSS Sports. Both enables you to set the front or rear height of your vehicle close to the original factory height.
MSS Track Pack and MSS 'LS' lowers below the standard vehicle height and in this regard may not be ideal.
KEY INFO: Our products settle by 500 miles post installation when the greatest lowering may be observed. Where the vehicle sits lower than required, simply adjust up.
Each full turn on the front adjuster yields 3mm adjustment; each full turn on the rear adjuster yields 2mm adjustment.
by 2,000 miles our springs sets and there are no further lowering.
|I have an aftermarket Coilover kit and am considering your rear kits only mainly for the ride comfort, which one would you propose?||We would propose MSS Track Pack Rear Kit as that retains the handling character of a typical premium Coilover kit and adds ride comfort as a benefit whilst retaining the height adjustment capability.|
